NPR: Why 2021’s College Sophomores are the New Freshman

By The Healthy Minds Team

NPR spoke to one of the students enrolled in our Badger Well-Being Challenge about our Healthy Minds Program app and mental well-being.

In September we launched our Badger Well-Being Challenge – a 30-day meditation program for incoming freshman, sophomores and transfer students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Thanks to our collaboration with the Center for Healthy Minds and UW-Madison, students will have access to student-focused meditations throughout the semester and beyond.

Katherine Zimmerman, a sophomore at UW-Madison, spoke briefly to NPR about how she’s been using the Healthy Minds Program app to meditate and track her mental thinking, and how she’s been feeling better because of it.
