Graham Washburn
Graham Washburn
Associate Director of Development
Working closely with donors and supporters of HMI’s mission, Graham facilitates meaningful (and sometimes transformational) giving that advances the translation of cutting-edge neuroscience into tools for training well-being that are accessible to all. Graham brings development and fundraising experience from science and medicine focused non-profits such as the Usona Institute and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, as well as nearly a decade of sales experience at AT&T where he also served as a company spokesperson in live TV appearances on the local NBC station.
Graham’s natural sense of curiosity flourished while studying philosophy at UW-Madison where he earned his bachelor’s degree, and where he now volunteers as a mentor to students pursuing Letters and Science degrees, sharing advice and guidance on leveraging their transferable skills to start rewarding careers.
When he’s not working or volunteering, you can find Graham at one of Madison’s many extraordinary restaurants or craft cocktail lounges. He enjoys playing Nordic lawn sports (like Kubb) with friends, relaxing with a fun video game, and binge watching his favorite shows on Netflix.
